New Technical Limitations

As you have probably already heard, Linden Lab® have changed the existing conditions yet again. It seems to be normal now, that the only ones who don’t have to keep agreements is Linden Lab® itself. In Germany, this would be classed as fraud, in LL’s world, in SL, this is only the case when its residents do this.

To get down to detail:
Open space sims will be disproportionally expensive in future and aspects such as usable prims, avatars per sim and using scripts will be limited.

This means for a lot of open space sim owners,  that their sims will be technically nearly unusable in future. Why Linden Lab®, used the OS boom first and sold large quantities, only to then make them technically worthless, is anyone’s guess.

Despite this, I don‘t want to disappoint the people who bought/rented land from me or to do a runner with their money. I‘m not Linden Lab® and I don’t want to have to live with it on my conscience.

Therefore, I have decided to convert the two OS sims in our area into one full prim sim. I‘m sorry to say that, but it‘s no longer possible for me to supply the promised prims in the same quality as you originally bought them. Apart from the high prices, Linden Lab® makes so many changes, that none of you would be prepared to pay more than before as well. Linden Lab® has cleverly prevented the sale of existing OS Sims through more limitations announced at the same time, so I can‘t even sell the two OS sims to compensate you.

It is not the first time that Silver Real Estate has tried to maintain the interests of the land owners by changing place, but I‘m sorry to say, it is becoming increasingly difficult (more expensive) to survive the antics of this company.

Result:
We will move to a full prim sim, and I will offer everybody a new plot, four times smaller but with the same prims as before. Pre-paid tiers will be transferred without loss to the new land and you will not have to buy the land again (I‘m not Linden Lab®).

Wie ihr sicher mitbekommen habt, hat Linden Lab® mal wieder bestehende Konditionen geändert. Mittlerweile ist es wohl normal das der einzige der sich nicht an Vereinbarungen halten muss Linden Lab® selbst ist. In Deutschland würde das den Tatbestand des Betruges erfüllen, in der Welt von Linden Lab®, also in Second Life® wohl nur wenn sich “its Resident” nicht an Vorgaben halten.

Um ins Detail zu gehen.
Open Space Sims werden in Zukunft unverhältnismäßig teurer und es wird Einschränkungen in Sachen nutzbarer Prims, Avataren pro Sim und Scriptnutzung geben.

Daraus ergibt sich für viele OS Sim Besitzer, das ihre Sims in Zukunft technisch nahezu unbrauchbar sind. Warum Linden Lab® erst den Boom ausnutzt und Unmengen an OS Sims verkauft um sie dann wieder technisch zu entwerten kann man sich bestimmt denken.

Dennoch möchte ich die Leute die Land bei mir gekauft/gemietet haben nicht enttäuschen oder sie um ihr “klein Geld” prellen. Ich bin nicht Linden Lab® und habe keine Lust so etwas mit meinem Gewissen vereinbaren zu müssen.

Deswegen habe ich mich entschieden die beiden OS Sims die zu unserem Einflussbereich gehören in eine Full Prim Sim zu konvertieren. Es ist leider in Zukunft nicht mehr möglich auf OS Sims, die euch zugesicherten Prims in der Quallität bereit zu stellen, wie ihr sie ursprünglich gekauft habt. Mal abgesehen vom Preis verwirklicht Linden Lab® derart massive Änderungen, so das keiner von euch mehr bereit wäre dafür auch noch mehr als bisher zu bezahlen. Geschickter Weise hat Linden Lab® mit Bekanntmachung der Änderung durch eine weitere Limitierung verhindert bestehenden OS Sims zu verkaufen. Es war mir also auch nicht möglich die beiden OS Sims zu verkaufen um euch zu entschädigen.

Es ist nicht das erste mal das das Silver Real Estate durch Positionsänderung versucht die Interessen der Land Owner zu bewahren, aber ich muss dazusagen es wird immer schwerer (teurer) die Eskapaden dieser Firma zu überleben.

Fazit:
Wir werden auf eine Full Prim Sim umziehen und ich werde jedem von euch eine 4mal kleinere Parzelle mit genauso vielen Prims anbieten, wie er bisher hat. Im voraus bezahlte Tiers wird verlustfrei auf das neue Land übertragen und ihr werdet das neue Land nicht noch einmal kaufen müssen (ich bin ja nicht Linden Lab®).
